Rights Groups Condemn New Israeli Law Stripping Citizenship from Palestinian Terror Convicts
The new law requires that any Palestinian citizens of Israel found guilty of acts of terror who receive funding from the Palestinian Authority" be stripped of their citizenship and deported. Despite Prime Minister Netanyahu's claims that this is a measure of national security, human rights groups are speaking out as they believe this is discrimination against Palestinian citizens, yet another means of ethnic cleansing them from Israel. This is intended as part of a larger list of laws, of which there are currently 100, that treat Palestinian citizens of Israel as second-class citizens compared to Jewish citizens.
